REACH – Information on Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)

Mitutoyo is committed to complying with the requirements of the European REACH Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.Article 33 of the REACH Regulation requires suppliers of articles to provide information on substances of very high concern (SVHC) included in the EU Candidate List. If an article or a component incorporated into an article contains an SVHC in a concentration above 0.1% by weight, relevant information must be made available to enable the safe use of the article.Mitutoyo continuously monitors the substances used in its products and actively assesses its products with regard to the current requirements of the REACH Regulation and the EU Candidate List. Where applicable, we provide our business customers with the required information to support the safe use and handling of our products and to fulfil our obligations under Article 33(1) of REACH.Beyond regulatory compliance, Mitutoyo aims to minimise the use of substances that are hazardous or of particular concern.

Wherever technically and economically feasible, such substances are avoided, replaced or eliminated from our products during product development and improvement processes.Through responsible material selection, continuous product evaluation and close cooperation with our suppliers, we strive to ensure that our products meet applicable chemical and environmental requirements while maintaining the high quality and performance expected by our customers.
